About
About me
Biography
I'm a PhD candidate in Industrial Innovation Engineering at DISMI, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE), researching trustworthy, privacy-preserving methods for distributed and federated AI — from differential privacy and homomorphic encryption to federated learning over heterogeneous, multimodal data. My work has taken me from cyber-physical systems and digital twins to energy forecasting and sustainable retail, with publications at venues including ICLR, IEEE SMC, and ICDCS. Alongside research, I teach machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI courses at W.Training Srl.

DISMI, UNIMORE · Reggio Emilia, Italy
Developed Digital Twin and federated/deep learning techniques for anomaly detection in cyber-physical systems (PRIN PNRR DATRUST project), and studied privacy-preserving methods — DP, HE, SMPC, ZKP — for federated learning.
2021 — 2024
Master's Degree in Computer Engineering — Artificial Intelligence
UNIMORE · Modena, Italy
Final grade 108/110. Thesis: "Analysis and Comparison of Federated Learning architectures for distributed applications," a vertical case study with MASA and TIM.
2018 — 2021
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering
UNIMORE · Mantova, Italy
Final grade 96/110. Thesis on interoperability in serverless architectures for IoT scenarios.
Outside research
I've worked as a technology commentator for a regional news program, discussing current events on air, and I enjoy hackathons — placing second and third in circular-economy and smart-mobility challenges around Mantova.
